Troubleshooting Common Issues
I didn't receive a verification email
Check your spam/junk folder first. Corporate email servers sometimes block automated emails. If it's not there, go to the login page and click 'Resend verification email'. Make sure you entered the correct email address - typos are common. If you still don't receive it after 15 minutes, try using a different email address or contact support.
The verification link has expired
Verification links expire after 24 hours for security. Go to the login page, enter your email, and click 'Resend verification email' to get a fresh link. Make sure to click the link as soon as you receive it.
The hCaptcha isn't loading
This is usually caused by ad-blockers or privacy extensions. Try: (1) Temporarily disable ad-blockers, (2) Allow okhantu.co.za in your browser's privacy settings, (3) Try a different browser like Chrome or Firefox, (4) Clear your browser cache and cookies.
I forgot my password
On the login page, click 'Forgot password?' and enter your email. You'll receive a password reset link within minutes. The link expires after 1 hour. If you don't receive it, check spam or try again.
I get 'Email already registered' error
This means an account with your email already exists. Try logging in instead of registering. If you forgot your password, use the 'Forgot password' link.
My company registration number isn't accepted
Make sure you're entering just the number without slashes or spaces (e.g., '2020123456' not '2020/123456'). If your company is new, it may take 24-48 hours for CIPC records to sync. Try again later or contact support.
What's Next: Get Verified
After creating your account, the most important next step is verification. Verified businesses get trust badges that show buyers your compliance status, improving your chances in tenders and the marketplace.
These badges appear on your profile after successful verification
Don't skip verification. Many government tenders require proof of CIPC registration, tax compliance, and B-BBEE status. Without verification, you may be automatically disqualified from opportunities.
Next Steps
Now that your account is created, the next step is to complete your company profile. This unlocks verification features and helps you get the most out of Okhantu.
